Two of our area teams will be in action Friday night when the high school football playoffs roll on. While Northwood was knocked out by Northern Guilford last week, Chapel Hill ripped South Brunswick and Orange outlasted Lee County.
Friday, WCHL will air its exclusive high school football show ‘The Grid with Matt & Matt’ at 6:30 p.m., followed by Orange’s second-round game, a test at Corinth Holders.
Pregame coverage for the Panthers tilt begins at 7 p.m., followed by kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Jeff Hamlin and Chris Casey will have the call.
Chapel Hill, meanwhile, hits the road to take on a tough Terry Sanford squad for its second-round date. The Tigers are seeking their 10th win of the season and a possible rematch at Southern Durham in the next round.
