UNC guard Stephanie Watts has been named the ACC Rookie of the week for the second time in three weeks.

Watts helped the Tar Heels push their current win streak to five, with wins over New Hampshire, Maine and Clemson.

She averaged 14.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game last week and had a buzzer beating three pointer to beat Maine 59-58.

Watts has averaged 12.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.3 blocks through the Tar Heels first 16 games.

UNC is 11-5 on the season.

Watts has been a big reason they have been able to bounce back after an 0-2 start.

The Tar Heels’ next game will be Tuesday night against Syracuse at Carmichael Arena at 7 PM.
