Hillside’s talented roster was displayed in full force Friday night when the Hornets won the turnover battle and toppled the conference leading Northwood Chargers 35-28 in front of a capacity crowd in Pittsboro.  The Hornets used a combination of hard nosed running behind tailback Tyhijar Green, great offensive line play, a stingy defense, and some timely turnovers to beat a hot Charger team on Senior night.

Northwood’s multiple formation sets and talented roster moved the ball consistently through the night, however, multiple miscues halted Charger drives throughout the evening.

Hillside finishes their regular season this Friday evening as they travel to Hillsborough to face the Cedar Ridge Redwolves.

The Northwood Chargers head to Northern Durham High School next week to face the Knights on a game that will determine the final standings in the Big 8 – 3A Conference.  WCHL 97.9 The Hill will broadcast the game with the pregame show beginning at 6:45.
