CHAPEL HILL – The Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools board will revise the walk zones for several neighborhoods when the board meets Thursday.

The redistricting associated with opening the new Northside Elementary and converting Frank Porter Graham into a magnet school led administrators to review the current walk zones.

Neighborhoods must be no more than a mile and a half from school to qualify as a walk zone. Households in those neighborhoods are not eligible for busing to and from school.

Potentially impacted neighborhoods include Elliot Woods Apartments, Culbreth Ridge, Spring Valley and Webbwood.

The school board meets at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall.
