According to a survey by Coldwell Bankers, real estate in Chapel Hill is the priciest in North Carolina.

The annual home listing report was highlighted in the Triangle Business Journal. It shows Chapel Hill leading the state with an average home price of slightly more than $400,000.

The coastal towns of Kill Devil Hills, Ocean Isle Beach, Sunset Beach and Oak Island rank second through fifth, with average prices ranging from just under $350,000 to $395,000.

Hillsborough ranks 9th on the list; Durham is 20th. Nationwide, the average price a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home stands at roughly $295,000.
