Country musician Brad Paisley appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday night.
Paisley became one of the first mainstream country music artists to address North Carolina’s controversial HB2 law. He did it with a satirical twist.
The country star pulled out his guitar and sang specifically about the bathroom gender issue. He borrowed extensively from Tammy Wynette’s classic “Stand By Your Man.” There were lines like, “We’re all just human beings. He’s just a human peeing.”
Brad Paisley wrapped up the song with these lyrics:
“Why is this such a big deal? Hike up your dress, and take a stand. And sit by your man.”

Paisley is scheduled to play two North Carolina concerts later this year. He will play at Charlotte’s PNC Music Pavilion on September 17 and at Raleigh’s Coastal Credit Union Music Park (Walnut Creek) on September 18.
This was not the first time the bathroom subject came up on Kimmel’s show on Tuesday. The host, who is currently in the middle of a campaign to be Vice President of the United States, gave a passionate plea for clarity to bathroom rules.
