UNC has announced two injuries to members of the football team.
A release from the university says freshman defensive tackle Aaron Crawford will have season-ending surgery to repair a left foot fracture, on Thursday. He suffered the injury in practice last week. UNC will apply for a medical redshirt on his behalf.
The university also announced that redshirt freshman tight end Caleb Samuel’s football career has ended due to ongoing concerns related to a heart condition. Samuel played in all five games this season and scored on a two-point conversion against North Carolina A&T.
