Myrick Howard, executive director of Preservation North Carolina also teaches historic preservation in the Department of City and Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is the author of “Buying Time for Heritage: How to Save an Endangered Historic Property.” He talks about the new book and the challenges of preserving historic buildings including the Edward Kidder Graham House in Chapel Hill.
