Well, this has become a thing. Typically, these letters thank ex-girlfriends for letting the man go. It has divided the internet. Not really divided. Most people seem to hate it. A website called one specific example “the worst Facebook post in the world.”
Bamboccioni
Bamboccioni is basically Italian for “spoiled big babies.” They are adult children who refuse to leave home and just sponge off of their parents.
In one specific case, a father took his son to court. The court ordered the father to continue to support his son. One of the conditions of his divorce settlement, which had ruled that he must pay for his son’s education. After taking a long time to finish a degree in literature, the son is currently enrolled in a post-graduate course in experimental cinema.
