Bono Goes to Washington
Bono took a trip to Capitol Hill. The U2 frontman called on Congress to do something about the global refugee crisis. He testified to the Senate Appropriations subcommittee. Bono had one particularly unique idea. He suggested sending in comedians like Amy Schumer, Chris Rock, and Sasha Baron Cohen to counteract militants’ violent message. “If you laugh at them when they’re goose-stepping down the street, then it takes away their power,” Bono said.
Confusing Emojis
Emojis can be incredibly confusing. One of the reasons is because they’re look can change based on the platform. Emojis look different on iPhones and Androids. GroupLens, a research team at the University of Minnesota, explored the most confusing ones. The “crying laughing” is the most confusing emoji.
Healthy Children
A study claims that children of older mothers are healthier, taller, and obtain more education than children of younger mothers. Previously, most research has suggested that older motherhood causes a heightened probability of Down Syndrome, Alzheimer’s disease, hypertension and diabetes.
Evidently, the benefits outweigh the risks.
