Today is Friday, January 8, 2016. The News & Observer shared an epic obituary. Also, there’s a girl named Lanesra.
An Epic Obituary
The News & Observer posted an epic obituary on Thursday. It told the incredible story of a 94-year-old woman. Indy Week calls it the most honest News & Observer obituary ever. Her name is Wilma Marie Voliva Black. Here’s a sample:
“Her co-star in a church play, Charles Black pressed Wilma into an elopement in May 1939. Wilma later learned that their marriage had been a cover for his sexual affair with their minister’s wife. Alcoholism and adultery continued throughout their marriage and ended in Wilma’s filing for divorce in 1969.”
The post has been deleted by the News & Observer. But, it ran in the newspaper’s print edition. Andy Bechtel tweeted a screenshot:
The N&O has apparently pulled the Wilma Black obit from its website. Here’s how it appeared in print today. pic.twitter.com/BZjQkwv2iP

Lanesra
Does the name “Lanesra” remind you of anything? It’s just kind of a pretty-sounding name, right?
That’s what Clare Smith of Australia thought.
But Smith inadvertently skyrocketed her family to fame when soccer fans across the world discovered how her daughter came to be named “Lanesra.” “We chose our daughter’s name, Lanesra, because it was unique and romantic,” Smith wrote. “It wasn’t till she was two that my husband told me it was actually his favorite soccer team, Arsenal, spelled backwards!”
Nap Desk
Have you ever thought to yourself, “I work so much I might as well sleep here?”
Well have I got the product for you or your bosses.
It’s The Nap Desk.
It’s made with laquered wood, metal and white leather so it’s simple enough for an office and yet still stylish. Unfortunately you’ll have to wait just a little while as it is not yet available for retail.
