It is October and that means Fair time
The North Carolina State Fair is Thursday, October 15 through Sunday, October 25. State Fair time also means crazy food time. In 2015, fair visitors will have the opportunity to try a peanut butter pickle and bacon-wrapped Tootsie Rolls.
The peanut butter pickle is described as an open-faced pickle sandwich – a giant pickle cut in half, smothered in peanut butter, and then dipped in batter and deep-fried.
Bacon-wrapped Tootsie Rolls have been tested before, but turned out a little too sweet. This year’s concoction is a giant tootsie roll, cut in half, wrapped in bacon, and then dipped in batter and deep-fried.

Kim Davis Again?
Earlier this week, Kim Davis was trending because of her meeting with Pope Francis.
The Vatican has decided to provide more details about the meeting of Pope Francis and Kim Davis. Vatican spokesperson Rev. Frederico Lombardi released the statement. “Pope Francis met with several dozen persons who had been invited by the Nunciature to greet him as he prepared to leave Washington for New York City,” Lombardi said, referring to the Vatican’s diplomatic mission. “The pope did not enter into the details of the situation of Mrs. Davis and his meeting with her should not be considered a form of support of her position in all of its particular and complex aspects.”
