Liza Wolff-Francis (she/her) is the 8th Poet Laureate of Carrboro, North Carolina and she has an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Goddard College.
Carter Hubbard (she/her) is the founder and director of Floraffiti®, an award-winning, multifaceted placemaking, community engagement, and social justice project that flexes to accommodate and include a community’s needs. She has been a practicing artist for over 30 years.
Floraffiti® Creatively engaging communities to inspire dialog about important local and global issues. Floraffiti began in 2013, growing from a design solution to an exploration in placemaking and community engagement. It has successfully evolved over the years, collaboratively working with local creatives in the area where it takes place to include economic development, social justice, and this year, environmental justice. Foraffiti works with municipalities, collaborating with non-profits to extend their mission’s capacity, and with educational institutions.
