Al Bowers, grew up in Greensboro, NC and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in1988. The founder of founded Al’s Burger Shack on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill began his restaurant career at Gillespie Golf Club in junior high school and at McDonalds in high school. He was in real estate 1999-2010, then founded Al’s Burger Shack in 2013, which was awarded Best Burger in America in 2018. He sold the company in 2022.

Jerome Levisy joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Durham and Orange Counties as CEO in September 2013 and manages all functions of the organization. Levisy has over 25 years of experience in communications, strategic marketing, partnerships, and alliance management and has received public accolades for his work creating successful youth development organizations. A graduate of Ferrum College, he also holds certificates of advanced management from Duke University and Ross School of Business Management at University of Michigan.
