The Wrong Side

A perspective from Andrew Bales

It can be difficult to parse out all the issues we are faced with in order to be an informed electorate. Information is everywhere. So much so that we get caught up in slogans and easily distracted from the muddied waters we must wade through to learn about the reality of the issues and the politicians we will be voting for.

We all have our own very specific concerns. We have our preferred candidates. Whether you be a Republican, Democrat or unaffiliated is of less importance than the agenda you support. Let’s be real here, we all have an agenda. It’s politics. We can disagree on many issues and still have a strong healthy community of different views.

Our own individual worries and concerns shape our agenda and preferences for policymakers. If when you look at these policies or candidates and find that you are agreeing with or voting for the same people that Moms for Liberty support, you are just on the wrong side of these issues.

My choice in the March 5 election clearly won by almost five hundred votes. The runoff rules effectively disenfranchise voters and should be changed. In the meantime, on May 14th I’ll check the box next to the candidate NOT supported by Moms for Liberty.
