This week, Aaron is joined by local author Nicole Zelniker, who’s just about to release her debut young-adult novel, “All I Know So Far.” Inspired in part by Zelniker’s own personal experience, the book revolves around Avery, a queer teenager who finds community after moving across the country to the South. Zelniker discusses the characters and their journey, the process of writing a YA novel for the first time, the challenges of writing about queer kids in an age of book bans, and more. (If you want to see Zelniker in person, she’ll be doing a reading at Epilogue Books in May, right around the novel’s release date.)
