In this edition of Nonprofit Spotlight, join Trinsic Residential Group in recognizing the work of Meals on Wheels Orange County NC, a well-known organization that does a whole lot of good in our community.

Listen above to hear from Rachel Bearman, executive director of Meals on Wheels Orange County NC, as well as long-time volunteer Jennifer Thomason about the work MoWOC does and its positive impact on the folks who need it most.

According to Bearman, MoWOC delivered over 62,400 meals in 2020, a 39 percent increase over 2019’s deliveries.

“In June of 2020 Chapel Hill Carrboro Meals on Wheels merged with Orange County rural alliance, together as Meals on Wheels Orange County, NC,  we enhance the well-being of older adults by alleviating hunger and reducing isolation across Chapel Hill, Carrboro and rural Orange County,” said Bearman. “… Every dollar donated makes a difference in the lives of our older adult recipients, funding nutritious meals, developing authentic connections and supporting their efforts to age in place with dignity.
