Welcome to “Making a Splash” with Goldfish Swim School of Chapel Hill!

Every month on 97.9 The Hill, joined a member of the Goldfish team for a conversation about building confidence in kids, in and out of the pool. You can listen to the full segment above as, this month, Andrew Stuckey is joined by Goldfish general manager Megan Sweeten alongside Katitlin Groff, a lifeguard instructor from Goldfish Swim School in Cary!

This month’s “Making a Splash” conversation includes some tips and information on making it convenient and easy for little ones to learn how to swim, the different aspects of lifeguarding — and training lifeguards — as things stay safe at Goldfish for all involved, and some of the high points of being an instructor and working to instill a critical, life-saving skill that doubles as a fun activity and all-around learning experience.

Also on the docket to discuss is the Safer Swimmer Pledge, a program through which Goldfish celebrated National Water Safety month in 2021 — getting 7,600 people to pledge to be safer swimmers through summer and beyond. The Safer Swimmer Pledge also served to support the USA Swimming Foundation, with $1 being donated per pledge, and the event happened all over again this year! With thousands more signatures added and donations made, it was a Goldfish Swim School Chapel Hill family who ended up landing the grand prize during the event’s series of prize drawings! Congratulations to the Zabinski family, and to everyone who signed up to make summer that much safer!
