Dave Sadeghi, owner of Town Hall Grill and Town Hall Burger & Beer, is hoping to donate $5,000 worth of food for hospital workers and first responders.

“We have already been in contact with UNC Hospitals about providing food for up to $5,000,” Sadeghi told 97.9 The Hill WCHL.

“We cannot make individual deliveries, however, we will prepare a volume of individually packaged meals. Or we can also offer 500 gift cards of $10 each so they can order food to pick up on their way home.”

Town Hall Burger & Beer in Briar Chapel and in Durham are also taking call-in orders for dinner and providing curbside deliver service for patrons.

In addition to supporting local hospitals and clinics, Sadeghi is hoping other restaurants in Chapel Hill and Orange/Chatham Counties will join him in this effort to support part-time employees.

“I have been working on how to help our staff while they are working on getting unemployment or other income,” Sadeghi said.

“I have had customers who have been buying gift cards just so they can help our team. An anonymous guest called and offered $5000 to be given as I wish, and after discussing this with him I decided to match his offer. We settled at $15,000 to be given to the neediest members of our staff who can’t collect unemployment or have no other means of income.”
