This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Thomas Baldwin.

Thomas Baldwin is a Chapel Hill Transit Officer whose quick thinking may have saved a life. While Baldwin is always quick to volunteer to help out, it’s his actions on an evening route that makes him this week’s hometown hero. On an evening safe-ride route, he noticed a pair of headlights off the side of the road. Baldwin called 911 which allowed law-enforcement to provide the person in the car with the help they needed after having a medical emergency.
