This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is actually a trio of heroes: Sydney Lin, Elise Chang and Allegra Gray!
Lin, Chang and Gray are three Chapel Hill High School students who lead the charge to form an organization called “Free Period” dedicated to ensuring consistent — and free-of-charge — access to feminine hygiene products. Through fundraising, organizing, volunteer work and more, there’s plenty of work to be done!
