This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Samuel Rushombo.

Rushombo is a pastor and volunteer at the Refugee Support Center. Recently, he was just recognized as part of Chapel Hill Tire’s 12 Days of Kindness. Rushombo came to the U.S. 12 years ago as an asylum seeker from Rwanda. Since then, he has dedicated his time to help refugees around our community get green cards, jobs, food, and more. He now serves on the Center’s Board of Directors.
