This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, features a group of local high school students working in concert to make Project Graduation happen: Abigail and Zoe Falk, Natalie Beisser and Lula Caress!

Natalie Beisser of Carrboro High School, Lula Caress of Chapel Hill High School, and Abigail & Zoe Falk of East Chapel Hill High are all part of Project Graduation, a drug and alcohol free celebration for graduating seniors!

Since it began in 1992, Project Graduation has provided a fun, safe and conscious environment for graduates to celebrate together in style, and since 1992 not one fatality has been recorded on graduation night. Food, music, prizes, karaoke, games, dancing, and more are all on offer in 2024 as this week’s Hometown Heroes talk about what the project is, how people can help, and the good it does for the community.

Listen to this week’s Hometown Hero segment below, and check in next week for another recognition of someone who is making a difference in our community! Do you have someone who you’d like to nominate as a Hometown Hero? Click here to let us know about the good they’re doing around town!
