This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Michelle Laws! Laws is extensively involved in many aspects of service and support in our community, but this weeks’ award is focused squarely on her work as founder of the Busy Bees Volunteer Corps, who recently installed a Little Free Library in Chapel Hill!
The newest Little Free Library is located at the corner of Billie Holiday Court and Eastwood Road, as part of efforts to place similar installations in locations accessible to public housing throughout town. The nonprofit and volunteer-based efforts of Busy Bees are steps toward a more involved and resilient community, so thanks to Michelle Laws for her work in making it all possible!
