This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Kate Pendergrass! She recently donated one of her own kidneys to save a life. Her father had kidney failure so Kate stepped up to be a living donor.
Like Kate, you can be a living donor and potentially save the life of someone else. The National Kidney Foundation says there are 100,000 people on a waiting list for a kidney transplant.
