This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Ian Scott.
Scott is the Vice President for advocacy at the Chamber for a Greater Chapel Hill. Scott jumped into positions he isn’t usually in to help local businesses, whether they’re members of the Chamber or not, affected by Tropical Storm Chantal. He was in contact with affected businesses to get them free legal guidance to review their lease and know their next steps. Along with that, he was working with town staff to expedite permitting and inspections.
