This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Bonnie Hammersley.

Hammersley is stepping down this Summer after 36 years in local government, including serving the last 10 as Orange County Manager. Hammersley has helped keep our county running through a pandemic, a hurricane, and much more. During her time as Orange County Manager, she has seen many projects that had been idling for years through the finish line, including the replacement of a 100 year old jail. While Hammersley is stepping down, she has set our county up for success with the help of her team for many years to come after her service.
