This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Barbara Driscoll – Audubon Society local chapter president, career retiree from decades of work with the Environmental Protection Agency, photographer, conservationist, and friend to pollinators of all kinds!
Her recognition as a Hometown Hero this week comes from all of her community work, with focus on her activism fostering a healthy environment for the complex ecosystem present in Booker Creek’s greenway. Native species of flora and fauna have her to thank for a place to thrive, for both personal work planting pollinator gardens and effort spent getting grants and helping volunteers!
Listen to this week’s Hometown Hero segment below, and check in next week for another recognition of someone who is making a difference in our community!
