Valentine’s Safety Tips from Triangle Electrical Services
Candles are a beautiful and special way to add magic to any holiday, or any regular day that needs a little light. A candlelit dinner for Valentine’s Day is a great way to celebrate at home. However, you want your special night with your Valentine to be memorable for the right reasons, not because you set a tablecloth on fire. Here are some candle safety tips to keep your Valentine’s Day safe:
- Don’t leave candles unattended. When you finish enjoying them, remember to blow them out. If you light a candle in the kitchen while you cook dinner, don’t try and move it to your table. Extinguish the kitchen candle and light a new one for the table.
- Place your candles on even surfaces away from furniture, drapes, paper, plants or flammable decorations. If you have longer hair, be extra careful when lighting or enjoying candles!
- If you light more than one candle, keep them three inches apart. This is to avoid them being too close and melting one another unevenly.
- If you’re enjoying Valentine’s Day at home with kids or pets, keep candles out of reach of little hands or fluffy tails.
All of us at Triangle Electrical Services hope you enjoy a safe and fun Valentine’s Day with loved ones!
