Exploring Your Creative Genius: Episode 91

Wasn’t last week’s show wonderful? If you have already listened, you’ll think that’s a little funny

since our guest, David Mattson did his PhD research on Wonder.

For most of the show, David shared his thoughts about Wonder as it serves Creativity. Staying open to Wonder during the creative process brings fresh ideas throughout the development cycle; most likely you will find time for rigor in the work, but never let go of wondering about your work.

My favorite time is Wondering While Wandering…the unexpected perspectiveS my wandering often offers always brings new sparks to my wondering. It provides space and place for finding new aspects to things, and lends well to my particular process.

A line I love, different versions, attributed to many… “The beginning of wonder is awe and the beginning of wisdom is wonder.”

David has identified some books, and his website, where you can continue to wonder about wonder. I will point out the second book on this list is Vlad Gaveanu, who was a guest of the show a few months back.

“Exploring Your Creative Genius” takes an expansive view on what it means to be creative and entrepreneurial in an ongoing conversation led by Carl Nordgren — entrepreneur, novelist, and lifelong student with decades of experience growing his own creative capacity and assisting others to do the same in exciting new ways!
