Exploring Your Creative Genius: Episode 69
Meet James Kaufman and Dana Rowe!
They are the authors of the new book ‘Lessons in Creativity from Musical Theater Characters’ and if you have already listened to this week’s show you know these gentlemen have extraordinary depth to their creative and artistic knowledge and understanding.
I want to highlight two dynamics that the show captures.
First, doesn’t their passion for what they are doing resonate? And it’s so attractive. James’ deep interests in musical theater led him to be a fan of Dana’ work, and Dana’s similar appreciation for James’ wide ranging approach to creativity research seems to have led directly to this awesome new book they’ve writing together.
Second, they talking about the emergent qualities they embrace when attending to their careers and their projects. They can be both active and patient at the same time, adding this, trying that, but never insisting, always allowing, permitting.
They have created a great website resource for the book, much more than just a promotional site, there’s lots of great creative resources there.
And their personal sites:
“Exploring Your Creative Genius” takes an expansive view on what it means to be creative and entrepreneurial in an ongoing conversation led by Carl Nordgren — entrepreneur, novelist, and lifelong student with decades of experience growing his own creative capacity and assisting others to do the same in exciting new ways!
