Exploring Your Creative Genius: Episode 74
In our last episode of ‘Exploring your Creative Genius’ I interviewed the short story writer, Ken Wetherington.
There are two ideas I want to highlight for you.
When you listen you are going to hear that Ken embraces that creative work is hard work. You have to discipline yourself, stay with it, keep at it. Picasso puts it well. “Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.” Listening to Ken, you hear a creative leader who gets that for sure.
The second idea I’d like to reinforce is my deep respect for short story writers. We need storytellers and all the magic and passion and drama and entertainment they provide, and story tellers maximize a reader’s investment of time by honing that story so that it hums with it’s completeness.
Ken has published prolifically and you can find a bunch of his stories at https://kenwetherington.com/
One of my favorites, you have to scroll down under published stories, is ‘Border Incident.’
“Exploring Your Creative Genius” takes an expansive view on what it means to be creative and entrepreneurial in an ongoing conversation led by Carl Nordgren — entrepreneur, novelist, and lifelong student with decades of experience growing his own creative capacity and assisting others to do the same in exciting new ways!
