Welcome to Bridging the Gap, presented by Orange Partnership and airing on 97.9 The Hill and Chapelboro.com!

This month, join a conversation with Annabelle Oberst, Orange Partnership intern and UNC senior, and Caroline Hall, Orange Partnership intern and student at Cedar Ridge High School, along with Corporal Jared Greenlee, Drug Recognition Expert for Orange Co. Sheriff’s Office.

Honoring the life of Enrique “Kiki” Camerena, National Red Ribbon Week is recognized each year from October 23 -31 to raise awareness about the impacts caused by drugs in America and highlight the importance of living a drug free life.

Listen above to the full conversation between 97.9 The Hill’s Aaron Johnson, Annabelle Oberst, Caroline Hall, and Corporal Jared Greenlee as they discuss Red Ribbon week, the dangers posed by different types of vapes, and why you shouldn’t drive after consuming marijuana.

Bridging the Gap, presented by Orange Partnership, showcases a new conversation on the first Friday of each month airing on 97.9 The Hill, with the full series posted on Chapelboro. Meet local partners working together to close the communication gap between parents and their children and help all young people in our community live healthy and productive lives through awareness, compassion, consideration and positive action!
