Aaron hijacks the segment today to connect an ongoing news story with a book he’s just read. David Graeber and David Wengrow’s “The Dawn of Everything” posits that one of the most essential freedoms in human history has been the ability to disobey, to feel free not to follow orders when they’re handed down. So maybe Republicans are inadvertently on to something when they try to reinstate a ban on masks even for health reasons, then suggest people can feel free to wear masks anyway? (“Anarchy!” declares Victor, approvingly.)
