Trending today: a couple of popular consumer goods that may be designed to break or fail if you don’t periodically give the company money. First, an all-in-one HP printer that’s the subject of a class-action lawsuit for (allegedly) becoming deliberately inoperative if the printer’s low on ink – even when you’re trying to do something that doesn’t require ink.
