Trending today: a survey on what Americans think money can and can’t buy, with some rather surprising results. Following the Beatles, most of us don’t think money can buy love – and with a refreshing lack of cynicism, a lot of us are skeptical of whether it can buy political clout or legal immunity. On the other hand, a surprising percentage of Americans do think money can buy a sense of humor – and even more of us think it can buy good morals. (Incidentally, Aaron’s a little behind on the research when it comes to whether money buys happiness: the latest studies find that it actually does, but not for everybody in the same degree.)
