Every Wednesday morning, Chapel Hill Public Library director Susan Brown joins 97.9 The Hill’s Aaron Keck for “Talking Books,” a weekly segment of book recommendations, of all genres and for all ages. (Susan also heads up Chapel Hill’s Community Arts and Culture department, so they’ll often talk about upcoming festivals and other cultural events as well.)

Chapel Hill is celebrating Small Town Pride in June, with events all month long – starting Saturday with the Pride Promenade on Franklin Street! (We’re pronouncing “promenade” like it rhymes with “odd,” but you go ahead and pronounce it however you like.) Susan and Aaron recommend LGBTQ books – invariably coming back to Aaron’s favorite, “Fun Home,” which is itself a great source of LGBTQ book recommendations.
