It’s a busy time in Mebane, with a lot on the city’s calendar – starting this weekend with two very big events: “An Evening in Stars Hollow” on Friday, October 10, celebrating Gilmore Girls throughout downtown – and the Hook & Line Thompson Music & Arts Heritage Festival on Friday and Saturday, October 10-11, featuring a day of live music on Saturday and a panel discussion Friday including local music legends Rhiannon Giddens, Justin Robinson, and Rissi Palmer. Kelly shares details about both of those events, plus upcoming Halloween and Christmas festivities.
In addition, Kelly discusses recent actions by the City Council, including a unanimous vote to reject a proposal for an 80-unit townhome development and a vote to accept a grant from the state for a new traffic safety officer. And she also shares one more exciting bit of Mebane news: a new hospital is coming to town, with a projected opening date of 2029.
