Aaron welcomes Herman Foushee and Delores Bailey to discuss some of the MLK Week events happening in Chapel Hill. UNC’s week-long commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. begins Sunday, January 14, with a free community event at the Friday Center starting at 6 pm with coffee and dessert, award presentations, and a keynote speech by Judge Beverly Scarlett. Then on Monday, January 15, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro NAACP is hosting its annual rally and march – starting at 10 a.m. at Peace & Justice Plaza on East Franklin Street, then proceeding to First Baptist Church on Roberson Street, where a service will begin at 11 a.m.
