Aaron welcomes Hillsborough author Melora Fern, who’s just published her debut novel “Whistling Women and Crowing Hens.” Set in the 1920s, the novel follows a group of women who become fast friends as they perform together on the Chatauqua circuit – seeking personal liberation and discovering themselves along the way. Fern says she was inspired by her grandmother, who traveled and performed on that circuit a century ago.
Fern will be appearing at a book talk in Hillsborough Thursday, September 18, at 6:30 p.m., hosted by Purple Crow Books.
