With the school year over, Aaron sits down for an extensive conversation with UNC Chancellor Lee Roberts. Roberts reflects on an eventful past year with a lot of highlights (congrats to Tar Heel women’s lacrosse!), and shares his thoughts about a number of critical issues in higher education – including federal cuts to research funding, threats to international student visas, and concerns about academic freedom. Roberts also discusses several UNC-specific issues, including Bill Belichick’s hire as head football coach, the future location of the Smith Center, and a potential controversy over tenure decisions.
