A new study by the World Health Organization has found that one in six people worldwide is affected by loneliness – a condition that can have serious, even deadly mental and physical effects. Experts say loneliness is linked to 871,000 deaths each year; that’s about 100 deaths every hour.
Aaron discusses the study with UNC psychology professor Mitch Prinstein, who’s currently serving as chief science officer at the American Psychological Association.
