In Raleigh, the North Carolina Museum of Art is gearing up for their next big exhibit, “The Book of Esther in the Age of Rembrandt” – examining how 17th-century Dutch artists focused on the Biblical story of Queen Esther as a symbol of religious and political freedom. The exhibit opens September 20 and runs through March 8, in collaboration with the Jewish Museum in New York.
Aaron discussed the exhibition with Michele Frederick, the museum’s curator of European art and provenance research.
