Piedmont Laureate Steven Petrow joins Aaron to discuss his latest New York Times column, one that’s very close to his heart. “I Promised My Sister I Would Write About How She Chose To Die” is about his sister Julie and her decision last year to end her life after a long fight with cancer. That decision is legal in 10 states but not North Carolina; Petrow wrote the piece partly as an act of advocacy, to urge states like North Carolina to honor the right to die with dignity.
