Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is Monday, January 19, and events are taking place all weekend to commemorate Dr. King’s life and legacy. One of the biggest is Chapel Hill’s 41st annual MLK Memorial Celebration, Sunday, January 18 at the Friday Center: retired judge Carl Fox will deliver a keynote address and attendees will raise money for local youth scholarships. The annual event has provided scholarships to nearly 400 students over the years.
