Thursday, October 16, everyone’s invited to the Southern Village Green for a book launch party from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The book is “By My Side,” a picture book for young kids written by first-time author Jasmine Nieto, who’s also an award-winning teacher at Scroggs Elementary School.
Nieto says “By My Side” was inspired by her own story: it’s written from the perspective of her dog, Weasley, whose life changed when Nieto gave birth to her son Paolo.
