This month, Aaron welcomes CPH director Victoria Rovine and former Carrboro poet laureate Fred Joiner, for a conversation about – dirt. Joiner will be among the speakers and presenters this week at a CPH program called “Dirt: Art & Life Beneath Our Feet,” which will be at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6. Rovine says it’ll be a multisensory experience: in addition to Joiner’s poetry and scholarly talks on the relationship of dirt and soil to American history, there will also be cider tastings from Botanist & Barrel, plus the opportunity to sculpt with clay.
Click here to learn more information about the event and buy tickets. Children 17 and under are invited; there will be separate programming for them.
Joiner and Rovine joined Aaron in the studio to discuss Thursday’s event, the issues and meaning behind the topic, and CPH’s new partnership with The ArtsCenter.
