Welcome to the May edition of Cappy Hour on 97.9 The Hill! Pour yourself a shot of real estate with Cappy Hagman of Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston. On the last Friday of each month, Cappy is mixing up a delicious cocktail of all things local real estate!

As the Real Estate market gets a little closer to business as usual, the current trend Cappy is seeing is that people are ready for a home update – either through renovation, remodeling, or relocating all together. If you’ve been stuck in your house, and you’re looking for a refresh, start with the easy stuff. Cappy says, “Paint and paper, rearranging the furniture; even things like just changing out bedroom decor can change it enough that you go back to being happy.”

A trend that became more popular due to the outbreak of COVID-19 is working from home, and it may be here to stay. Out of necessity, businesses have discovered their staff can successfully do their jobs from home. The shift could save a business owner money on a building lease and all the costs associated with brick and mortar. Because of this, home-owners may find themselves with different needs. A space at the end of the couch isn’t a home office.

When deciding if it’s the right time to sell, Cappy explains that your relationship with your home is no different than your other relationships. “When you’re not happy and it’s not working for you anymore, it’s extremely hard to get you back to happy.”

However you decide to proceed with making changes to your home, whether it’s a change of paint or a change of address, give Cappy a call. She’ll ask the right questions and assist you at every step along the way.

There are plenty of exciting conversations to come on Cappy Hour. We’re going to cover your questions, hear from local experts, and have a little fun along the way. Listen to this month’s Cappy Hour below – and join the conversation! Submit your questions via email to CappyHour@wchl.com.
