UNC is preparing for its Atlantic Coast Conference opener on Saturday and the Tar Heels may have a secret weapon when the Wake Forest Demon Deacons come to Chapel Hill.
Sophomore guard Shea Rush has scored 18 points in 29 games during his UNC career, but he hit a shot on Thursday that had him wondering if it was the “Longest shot ever in the The Dean Smith Center???”
Luckily for Rush, teammate Brandon Robinson captured the feat on video, which Rush, of course, posted to Twitter.
Early indication from the NCAA is that this shot would not count against Wake Forest, so Carolina may need to employ a more standard strategy.
UNC tips off with Wake Forest at noon Saturday in Chapel Hill. Pregame coverage for the conference opener will begin on 97.9 The Hill WCHL at 10:30 a.m.
