Fresh off an undefeated season which culminated in the program’s seventh NCAA championship, the UNC field hockey team will begin this year where it ended the last one.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association revealed its preseason poll on Tuesday, placing the Tar Heels right back on top at No. 1.

UNC received 31 of the 33 possible first place votes–nearly enough to earn the spot unanimously.

Maryland–last year’s runner-up–checks in right behind the Tar Heels at No. 2, followed by No. 3 Duke, No. 4 Connecticut and No. 5 Princeton.

All seven ACC teams are ranked in the top 25. Other than UNC and Duke, that includes: No. 10 Wake Forest, No. 11 Virginia, No. 12 Louisville, No. 13 Boston College and No. 18 Syracuse.
